Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the WeatherLens API and website (the “Service”), operated by Foxxception LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
WeatherLens provides weather forecast, climate normal, accuracy tracking, and historical weather data through a REST API. Data is sourced from the US National Weather Service, Open-Meteo, and other public and proprietary sources. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
3. Accounts and API Keys
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys.
- You may not share, sell, or transfer API keys to third parties outside your organization.
- We reserve the right to revoke keys or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
- Maximum of 5 API keys per account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Exceed your plan's rate limits or circumvent rate-limiting mechanisms.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Redistribute raw API data as a competing weather data service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or probe the Service for security vulnerabilities.
- Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity.
5. Pricing and Billing
- Free tier usage is subject to the published rate limits and may be adjusted.
- Paid plans (Starter, Pro) are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
- Annual plans are billed upfront for 12 months at the discounted rate.
- You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your dashboard.
- Refunds are at our sole discretion. Partial-month refunds are not provided for monthly plans. Annual plan refunds may be prorated.
6. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Weather data is inherently uncertain. While we strive for accuracy and transparently track our forecast scores, we make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any data provided through the Service. Do not rely on WeatherLens data for safety-critical decisions (e.g., aviation, emergency management) without independent verification.
7. Intellectual Property
The WeatherLens name, logo, website design, proprietary blending algorithms, and accuracy scoring methodology are the property of Foxxception LLC. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent. Your use of the API does not grant you ownership of the underlying data or technology.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Foxxception LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Foxxception LLC, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website.
